Hazelnut Butter 230 g
Hazelnut butter is another of the 12 butters created by Casca Rija.
Whatever nut inspires a butter, our production process remains unchanged, following simple but exacting stages: roasting, selection, grinding and flavouring.
1 - As with our other butters, hazelnut butter always begins with roasting, a crucial stage carried out without additives. The hazelnuts are gently roasted naturally until they reach the ideal point.
2 - Once cooled, a machine specially designed for the purpose removes the hazelnuts’ distinctive skins. This process was also carried out by hand in the early days of Casca Rija.
3 - After the skins are removed from the roasted hazelnuts, all the hazelnuts are selected so that only the best are used in packs labelled "Roasted Hazelnuts" and in the hazelnut butter.
4 - The fourth production stage consists of processing the roasted hazelnuts until they achieve a creamy, velvety consistency. This is the most complex production process of all our nut butters because of the naturally high oil content of hazelnuts.
As with almost all our nut butters, we add a little exotic spice (ground Ceylon cinnamon and ground dried ginger), always ensuring that its flavour does not overpower the unique taste of the hazelnut. The smoothness and sweetness of the ground Ceylon cinnamon and the slightly spicy intensity of the ground dried ginger create an aromatic result without ever overpowering the hazelnut flavour. The result is an aromatic, silky butter that reveals the unique flavour of our hazelnut butter in every spoonful—an unmistakable taste that is sure to exceed the expectations of every hazelnut lover.
